Most research firms that offer these services charge a minimum of $50 per hour. When you choose The Story of My People, there's no worry about unknown costs or difficult research topics that might cost you more money. Our prices are flat, no matter the time it takes, and best of all, if we can't deliver, you pay nothing.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
Your role in the process will be threefold.
1. First, you'll have to decide which level of genealogical research you want to pursue. You can always start with the basic level, and if you choose to upgrade, you'll still only pay the price of the level you choose, not both levels.
2. You'll need to provide the information on your family that you have available--full names and birth dates of your immediate family and any old pictures you may have of your grandparents and great grandparents, etc. Contact information for any family historians or relatives with potential information will also be helpful.
3. A phone consultation or online video chat with you to make sure you're getting exactly what you expect will be planned. That can be scheduled whenever is convenient to you.
HOW DOES THE PAYMENT WORK?You'll pay half of the cost up front after the phone or online consultation. That payment can be made via PayPal or Venmo. After that, you pay nothing until the research and presentation you've ordered is ready to be delivered to you. At that point, you'll pay the balance and receive your family history in the format you choose.
